The top and the bottom of the sound boards are both made of paulownia that were dried using special Shanghai method that provides the famous classical sweet tone of the guzheng. It is a collection model from the Dunhuang factory. The sound is brilliant, very rich, clear, melting sweet and resonant. Frame is made of Zitan East Indian Rosewood (698JM) with silver thread inlay in the "Flowers Dream" design. The bridges are made by Indian rosewood as well. The character of East Indian Rosewood is known for it's delicacy and crystal clear character. This is made by the famous guzheng factory Dunhuang, who produce over 50% of the total guzheng production.
